Nevada Math Council is a non-profit, state-wide education council facilitating leadership, support and communication between state math leaders and agencies (K-16). NMC supports the local efforts of four regional councils in Nevada comprising of 1) Northern Nevada Math Council (Reno area), 2) Great Basin Math Council (Elko area), 3) Southern Nevada Math Council (Las Vegas area), 4) University of Nevada Math Council - Las Vegas (Pre-service education students at UNLV). NMC also has representation on it’s board from the rural areas of Nevada. Together NMC is striving to unite the efforts of math leaders in the state to improve math education for all students in Nevada. The council supports the annual Southern Nevada Math Council Math Conference in February as well as sponsoring an annual Leadership Academy in October for all math leaders throughout the state of Nevada.
